How to Make Playlists on TikTok

TikTok is a leading social media app and is super popular for content creators who make instructional videos. If you have a bunch of videos on a similar topic, creating a playlist is an excellent way to organize them. It makes it easier for your followers to play all of your videos in order and learn about a particular topic. Here’s how to make playlists on TikTok.

Before diving into the guide, it’s important to note that this feature is unavailable for personal TikTok accounts. You will need a TikTok Business account or Creator TikTok account and a specific number of followers and views.

How to Make Playlists on TikTok

To make playlists on TikTok:

  1. Go to your TikTok profile.
  2. Tap on the Sort videos into playlists button.
  3. Tap on the Start creating button.
  4. Type in the name of your playlist.
  5. Select the videos you want to add to the playlist by tapping them.
  6. Tap the Next button and finalize the order of your videos.
  7. Tap on Create playlist to publish the playlist.

After creating your playlist, you can go back to your profile page and find the playlist above your videos. The ‘Sort videos into playlists’ text will turn into a plus button, and to the right of the plus button will be a list of your playlists.

Unfortunately, the ability to create playlists on TikTok is not available to all content creators. The feature is reserved for more prominent content creators with a large following. Some content creators report unlocking the playlist feature at 200,000 followers, while others have the option at 100,000 followers. There are some hidden thresholds in play that are not clear.

That may come as bad news to smaller content creators. However, it may inspire you to keep pushing out valuable content so you can eventually unlock this feature. If you do not yet have this playlist feature, you can join TikTok Testers to see if the feature rolls out for testing to a wider audience. Otherwise, you’ll need to grow your audience so you can unlock it!
