The base Kindle model is the next on the least. The 10th generation of the famed Amazon Kindle comes in two flavors, an Ads and No Ads model. Kindle Kids Edition (Honorable Mention)

Kindle Kids Edition

Although not a standalone device, the Kindle Kids Edition is another Kindle purchasing option. The kids’ edition is nothing more than the regular 10th Generation Kindle bundled with a cover, a one-year Amazon Kids+ subscription, and an extended 2-year worry-free warranty. A great option if your kindle keeps finding its way to the hands of your kids, but as mentioned before, the base model is just a regular Kindle 10th Generation.

When will the next Amazon Kindle Release?

The next scheduled launch for the Amazon Kindle will be the Kindle Paperwhite 5th Generation on October 27th, 2021. With the next release so close, there isn’t likely to be another release until late into 2022, and it can be expected to be the 11th generation of the base Kindle edition.
