Maybe you want a fresh start, or you’ve made a typo that you can’t stand to look at anymore. Whatever the reason, changing your Discord username is easy to do. Here’s how to change your name on Discord on mobile and desktop.

How to Change Name on Discord

To change your name on Discord, open User Settings inside Discord and go to the My Account tab. Tap the Edit button to the right of the Username field, and enter your new name along with your password. Press Done, and your new Discord username will take effect.

Follow these step-by-step instructions to change your name on Discord on the desktop client:

1. Launch Discord on your device.
2. Click the gear icon at the bottom left.
3. Go to the My Account tab.
4. Click on Edit to the right of your username.
5. Enter your new username and your account password.
