How to Connect AirPods to a Samsung Tablet

Wireless headphones and audio devices like AirPods are becoming increasingly popular, especially with portable devices like tablets. New tablet models like those manufactured by Samsung do not have a headphone jack, so something like AirPods is a must. 

For less tech-savvy users, figuring out this process is a bit of a learning curve. We put together this guide explaining how to connect AirPods to a Samsung tablet to help you out. Follow the steps below if you want to learn how to do it in a few simple steps.

How to Connect AirPods to a Samsung Tablet

1. Unlock the screen on your tablet and swipe down.
2. Press and hold the Bluetooth icon to open the Bluetooth settings.
3. Open your AirPods case and press and hold the setup button located on the back until the light starts blinking.
4. Turn on Bluetooth on the tablet and look for “AirPods” under the available devices.
5. Tap on “AirPods” under Available devices to pair it with the tablet.
6. Accept the request to pair the AirPods with your tablet.

First, unlock your tablet and swipe down from the top of the screen. On the dropdown menu, you should see the Bluetooth icon. Press and hold the Bluetooth icon to open the Bluetooth settings. This menu is where you can manage your paired and available devices with Bluetooth connectivity.

Next, pick up your AirPods case and find the small white setup button. It’s on the back of the case. Press and hold the setup button until it begins blinking. At that point, go back to your tablet, and you should see AirPods pop up under the Available devices section.

Tap on the AirPods device to begin pairing it with your tablet. The process should only take a few seconds. After that, the devices will pair together and be ready to go.

After successfully pairing the AirPods to your Samsung tablet, the AirPods will show up under Paired devices and say connected for calls and audio. You can tap on the gear icon to the right of the AirPods name to enable or disable them for Calls and Audio.
