Method 1: Editing the Settings in Credential Manager Properties

To fix the Enter Network Credentials error by adjusting your Credential Manager Properties:

1. Type Services in the search in your taskbar and click it. 
2. Scroll down and double-click Credential Manager. 

3. Next to Startup type, select Disabled. 

4. Click Stop. 

5. Click Apply. 
6. Select OK. 
7. Restart your computer. 

Once your computer starts back up, enter the network credentials again and see if it works. If it is still throwing up the same error, follow the steps below.

Method 2: Editing the Local Security Policy Settings

To adjust your Local Security Policy settings:

1. Type and open Local Security Policy in the search in your taskbar. 
2. Expand the Local Policies dropdown. 

3. Search and double-click Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only. 

4. Tick Disabled. 

5. Click Apply. 
6. Click OK. 
7. Type Control Panel in the search. 
8. Click Credential Manager. 
9. Select Windows Credentials.
10. Delete any profiles in your manager. 

11. Restart your computer.
